“Thou should be remembered for eternity!” is a proverb that everyone tries to accomplish. A person who truly consummated this proverb; struck a grief around the world was our ex-president, scientist, visionary, teacher, orator and moreover an humane person Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam.
A person who could look beyond the manmade barriers of status, stature, religion and customs; he brought revolutionized changes in our defense field!
He quotes in “Wings of Fire”, “To succeed in life and achieve results, you must understand and master three mighty forces— desire, belief, and expectation.” He used to inspire students by these words and strike a chord to evolve the unquenchable thirst of accomplishment.
He quotes in “Turning Points”, “During my tenure I had to take many tough decisions. I had applied my mind totally in an unbiased manner after eliciting opinions from legal and constitutional experts. The primary aim of all decisions was to protect and nurture the sanctity and robustness of our Constitution.” His tenure as a President is lauded. India reached a zenith in the phase of nuclear weapons due to Agni and Trishul, the two mightiest nukes.
Such a person is an immortal asset, but unfortunately this great treasure slipped from life to the pages of eternity. A person who shall always be missed,
RIP APJ Abdul Kalam
